To be completely transparent, the newer Apple silicon Macs are much faster, more power efficient, and will have support for many more years to come. They are the best value for your bang, and the base models released recently aren’t very expensive, starting at $1599 for MacBook Air and $1899 for iMac, however quickly getting very expensive for models with higher RAM and storage capacity.
